2 Piece Sets = The New Romper

2 Piece Sets = The New Romper I said it! And I ain’t taking it back!   View this post on Instagram   A post shared by Cassey Ho (@blogilates) The Popflex Sunshine Set This was the perfect vacation outfit for my minimoon this summer. Easy, elevated, breathable. And most importantly, I suppose, it answers the question certain people keep asking so you’re welcome. Size one up for comfort as the 100% cotton is not pre-shrunk so I’m warning you now! SHOP SUNSHINE SET SHOP SUNSHINE SET I hope you’re happy with the features I included in this design, and as you know I’m always listening to feedback. But please remember not every design can be everything to everyone. If it is, well, it’s not. I can no longer strive to make everyone happy because in the end, I find myself unhappy. Design is art and art is personal and I create because I love to not because I’m forced to. Anyway, just know that if this one isn’t for you, something else might be. So please treat every design as a unique individual, not a full judgment of the entire brand I’ve been so careful to build with so much intention. Maybe too much carefulness…because every review that judges my intention hurts. It’s like going to a vegan restaurant and leaving a bad review saying there were no real hamburgers. Like Ok didn’t mean to write all that but wanted to say what I needed to say. I said don’t come at me in the vid but I know people are going to anyway so, hello.   I said it! And I ain’t taking it back!   View this post on Instagram   A post shared by Cassey Ho (@blogilates) The Popflex ☀️Sunshine Set ☀️ This was… Cassey{authorlink}https://www.blogilates.com/blog/popflex-sunshine-set/Blogilates The official blog of Cassey Ho https://i0.wp.com/www.blogilates.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/fav-1.png?fit=32%2C32&ssl=1

I guess the ocean did its job

I guess the ocean did its job French Polynesia (specifically Moorea) will always always always have a special place in my heart because it’s where Sam and I celebrated our honeymoon, and that time remains in my memory as the most magical trip of our lives. We waited 5 years to return to this special island, and even though I wanted to go back much sooner, Sam was adamant about keeping that memory untouched and untarnished for as long as possible. Well, this year, we couldn’t hold back any longer.   View this post on Instagram   A post shared by Cassey Ho (@blogilates) This year’s minimoon came at a time when I reallyyyy needed it. I think we both did. I had been crying on the couch too much this year and letting difficult situations bleed into my well-being. Unfortunately, as someone who feels deeply, it is what it is. I think the universe knew I needed to heal and it gave me signs that left me in awe…signs Sam and I are still trying to decipher. On our way back to the States, a scary looking border patrol guard singled us out from a crowd. I was panicking. He said “do you know why I called you over?” We were like “oh no did we do something wrong??” He took his time answering which made me even more nervous. But then he said “out of all these people walking out who look miserable and tired, why are you two the only ones laughing and smiling? I just need to know.” With much relief, we all shared a laugh and told him we had just come from French Polynesia and that he should go sometime too! I guess the ocean did its job. Feeling so lucky. Can’t believe I saw this with my own eyes

Can’t believe I saw this with my own eyes Feeling so so lucky.   View this post on Instagram   A post shared by Cassey Ho (@blogilates) I already had my camera out for the faint rainbow bc all rainbows, no matter the size, are very special to me. So when the rainbow got stronger and stronger until it became a fulllllll on arc I became so overjoyed my feet couldn’t stop clapping!! I had never seen anything like this in my life! And the fact that it was right in front of our room, on the same, very special resort we honeymooned on 5 years ago – Sam and I felt like it was a sign. I can’t tell you a sign of what just yet, but I CAN tell you this rainbow filled my body with so much pure happiness. I don’t think the vids and pics do this special moment any justice but I wanted to share this rainbow with you, so that you could feel a bit of this magic as well. Feeling so lucky. Appreciating the Journey That Led to Living Out My Childhood Dream

Appreciating the Journey That Led to Living Out My Childhood Dream I uploaded my first YouTube video in 2009 not knowing that decision was going to change the rest of my life.   View this post on Instagram   A post shared by Cassey Ho (@blogilates)   I made up the screen name “Blogilates” because I simply meshed together 2 things I liked: blogging and Pilates. I uploaded my first workout video because it was a going away gift for my 40 POP Pilates students who wanted to still work out with me after I had to move away. I wasn’t trying to start a brand, get rich, or be famous. In fact, back in those days, you couldn’t even make money on YouTube. Brand deals and Adsense were not even a thing. It was simply a place to connect. Thank you VidCon for inducting me into the Hall of Fame What an HONOR, but especially alongside legends Michelle Phan, Philip DeFranco and Markiplier! Can’t believe I attended my first vidcon back in 2012 as a regular attendee waiting in line to take a pic with Harley of Epic Meal Time (who doesn’t love watching people construct absurdly large towers of high calorie foods then consuming it like a beast who hasn’t eaten for weeks?), then came back as a full-on YouTuber speaking on panels in front of thousands, then yesterday, inducted into the Hall of Fame? I have to really force myself to stop and look back in order to appreciate my journey, because too often I’m moving too fast, only looking forward, and thinking about everything going wrong instead of what has gone right. Pro pics by Ashly and iPhone pics by my number one supporter ever since forever, Sam    I uploaded my first YouTube video in 2009 not knowing that decision was going to change the rest of my life.   View this post on Instagram   A post… Cassey{authorlink}https://www.blogilates.com/blog/vidcon-2026/Blogilates The official blog of Cassey Ho https://i0.wp.com/www.blogilates.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/fav-1.png?fit=32%2C32&ssl=1

Dissecting feelings after my NYC trip

Dissecting feelings after my NYC trip Hey guys! Trip recap/brain dump for you… From attending the Asian American Foundation Awards with the CEO of YouTube and my fellow AAPI creators to watching both the Michael movie and MJ the Musical on Broadway, this month has me thinking a lot about my upbringing. I’ve been finding myself on the verge of tears more often than I’d like. A little backstory: you may or may not know, but I’m a huge MJ fan – oddly, a late stage one. I “discovered” him in high school during the 2003 Martin Bashir special that was meant to totally destroy Michael, but for some reason I saw nothing but a really talented performer. And that’s when my obsession with all things MJ began. Read all the books, bought all the CDs, and studied his performances bc I was a girl on a mission to learn the moonwalk! I ended up doing a dance to ‘Beat It’ for the talent portion of the Miss Teen Chinatown pageant and I really do think THAT is what tipped the scales in my favor! Anyway, watching Michael was beautifully nostalgic but when Joe Jackson came on the screen, the things he said reminded me so much of my dad that I was holding back tears the entire movie. Growing up my dad yelled at me when I hit a “lousy” shot during tennis practice, he yelled at me when I couldn’t solve a math problem, and he yelled at me so much that becoming a perfectionist was the only way I knew how to be. Later on in life when I finally rebelled and didn’t follow his plan for me to be a doctor, our relationship broke into pieces. The most hurtful part is that my “success” today is viewed in a similar way to how Joe Jackson viewed Michael’s success: a result of his doing. I want to be clear that I love both my mom and dad and I am grateful for the way I was raised because it made me FIGHT to become exactly who I am today. I don’t wish to change my upbringing but I do wish to have a better relationship with my dad before it’s too late.   View this post on Instagram   A post shared by Cassey Ho (@blogilates) On a slightly diff note: NYC was great! Food was great! But the trip left me with a lot of feelings to dissect. From attending multiple glamorous events to reflecting on MJ’s tragic end, I’m thinking a lot about human nature and how we treat people based on who we think they are vs who they really are.   Hey guys! Mini-moon Pt. 1: Japan

Mini-moon Pt. 1: Japan Japan. Probably the number one shocker was learning that public trash cans are NOT a thing. And yet, the city is SO clean!   View this post on Instagram   A post shared by Cassey Ho (@blogilates) It was incredible to watch one of the densest cities in the world operate with such high efficiency and cleanliness. As I was admiring the organized chaos of Tokyo, I kept thinking that such a society is possible only if every individual lives by and respects the same rules. It’s inevitable for me to compare my own experience living in the U.S. vs being a visitor in Japan, but REAL TALK whyyyyy is it so hard for people to use public trash cans when they’re literally on every corner!? Between grinding our own matcha in Uji, finally trying all the viral foods I’ve been seeing on IG for YEARS in Tokyo and Osaka, being head-butted by a deer in Nara (no actually), and making a game out of trying to find trash cans, I really enjoyed wandering aimlessly through the streets of Japan with Sam. Exploring in the rain made it all the more romantic, especially among the cobblestone streets of Kyoto, even though I was complaining about being cold every 5 seconds. Arigato gozaimasu Japan! Japan. TEA TIME: The Update You’ve Been Waiting For

TEA TIME: The Update You’ve Been Waiting For Hey guys! A few months ago, I told you how I found out that Nordstrom Rack was selling a straight up dupe of my patented Pirouette Skort. Get ready, it’s tea time. First, let’s recap what happened.   Basically I found out about the dupe, which is by a brand called Gottex. I sent a cease and desist because wellllll my design is PATENTED and they responded with a threat to sue ME. So I posted a video about it. I gave them a chance to fix it. I gave them an easy out. I told Nordstrom, “Hey, let’s turn this into an ‘enemies to lovers’ arc.” All they had to do was reach out and get the real thing in their stores. It would’ve been a win for everyone… a PR win for them, a victory for me, and a win for YOU because you’d get to shop one of our favorite things in-store! But instead, nothing happened. Months went by with no resolution and no one getting back to me. I was tossed around like a hot potato between lawyers, retailers, and manufacturers. Like if they gave me the run around I would just… go away? The disrespect. The GASLIGHTING.   View this post on Instagram   A post shared by Cassey Ho (@blogilates) SHOP THE REAL PIROUETTE SKORT Time to speak up. We all know I wasn’t going away without a fight. After I shared the truth about the Nordstrom dupe with you all, things took a turn. News outlets picked up the story and you started showing me receipts! Turns out Nordstrom Rack isn’t the only one selling this skort, but also TJ Maxx, Marshalls, and Beals. Why didn’t I know about these other stores earlier? Something didn’t add up. Shady much? And how convenient that THIS is when the lawyers finally decided that they had time to respond. Only instead of apologizing or trying to work with me, things got worse. The lawyer literally said, “We request that your client remove all defamatory remarks.” Excuse me? Defamation? I’m just stating the facts. They took my design, and I’m calling them out. A Pirouette dupe at TJMaxx! How can they copy it down the the color that went viral after the Taylor Swift ICDIWABH music video and just pretend like it’s their own original design? No.   This should speak for itself. The NDA. After we finally had people talking to us, I proposed a settlement to simply end the madness. Just pay me a fair royalty, stop selling the dupe, and we’re done here. But no. THEY CAME BACK WITH AN NDA. And not just any NDA… this one said I could NOT talk about the situation on ANY platform. Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube… they were very specific. And if I did post about it… they would fine me $250,000. Umm excuse me?! Hard no. I’m not signing their NDA. I won’t be silenced and you cannot buy me.  In fact, I’m going to keep talking about this because truth is on my side, and I’ll NEVER be bullied into silence. Nice try though. SHOP THE REAL PIROUETTE SKORT   Here’s how you can help First of all, your support is everything! I cannot express how grateful I am for your kind words and just the way you have my back! If you’re wondering how you can help, keep spreading the word about what’s happening! Like and share my videos and leave comments! More engagement tells the algorithm to show the video to more people. We must show Nordstrom and other big corporations that may be watching that small businesses are DONE being silenced. Hey guys! A year of love stories from the POPFLEX team

A year of love stories from the POPFLEX team Last weekend, I visited Michigan for the first time to see Kristen, our Senior Manager of Creator Relations, tie the knot! She was a literal fairy. And it got me thinking… Sam and I had the honor of attending FOUR weddings so far this year for people on the POPFLEX team (aka the Blogifam). I know from past experience how most of the time, people prefer to keep work life and personal life separate. In my early corporate life, inviting a manager to a wedding NEVER would have been a thing. We have something rare and special, and I plan to protect that at all costs.     View this post on Instagram   A post shared by Cassey Ho (@blogilates) Congrats to all the newlyweds in the Blogifam! The wait for Swim is finally over!!

The wait for Swim is finally over!! So, where did we leave off on this year’s POPFLEX swim drama? Right right, the part where my photo samples went MISSING in Memphis and I had to cancel our photoshoot. Models were been booked, flights purchased, photographers hired. So many meticulously planned details and moving parts just… poof! Cancelled because of one package. But the worst part was that the location we reserved would not give us a credit for the space and I had to pay thousands in fees. That’s when I filmed a video to fill you in on everything holding back this year’s swim launch. For weeks after that, the package was just stuck. I thought it was gone forever until one day… it showed up! Except… There was another problem Like HOWWWW was this happening after we already dealt with incorrect elastic on another swim bottom aka Sausagegate? WHY?! This was the point when Sam and I wondered if we should just give up on swim this year. I was EXHAUSTED. But that would mean 1.5 years of development would go to waste. The design team had already poured everything into this collection. I couldn’t just let that go. I asked you for time And your support was everything. Your willingness to wait was the final push I needed to work out the details and get it right. Over the past month, I nearly lost my mind catching issues and redoing pieces until the fit was perfect. Which brings us to today, and I finally have some good news. POPFLEX Swim is HERE! This year we have 15 silhouettes to choose from and I truly believe there is something for everyone. SHOP SWIM The swim “skanty” is alive! We brought back some faves like the Crisscross Hourglass Cheeky Bottoms and the Swim Romper, but I’m most excited for the unique styles this year. We added the most stunning drapey Tankini, a Swim Dress, AND  swim skort that I’m calling a Skanty because it has built-in bottoms. I’m wearing it with the Beach Day Bandeau which has an adjustable corset back (obsessed) and removable halter (OBSESSED)! SHOP SWIM Every single piece is giving mermaid goddess. SHOP SWIM Okay head over to POPFLEX now so you can explore all of Swim! Annnnd now can this season of POPFLEX Swim drama be over now? Finale, no cliff hangers THANKS. I hope you love bc if not I am questioning my entire existence So, where did we leave off on this year’s POPFLEX swim drama?
