A perfectionist never rests

A perfectionist never rests An unfortunate truth for me, but a fortunate truth for you. The Popflex Super Slit Short is my favorite short ever because it’s so light and comfy, but also a little edgy. However… there was one tiny thing that I needed to fix. Like soooo tiny.   View this post on Instagram   A post shared by Cassey Ho (@blogilates) MY FAVE RUNNING SHORT Soo what did I change? It wasn’t the stretchy V waistband, the lightweight fabric, or the super soft and weightless built-in panty. Think smaller. Everything is pretty much the same EXCEPT there is a bartack now that keeps your slit from opening too far up the leg. Now it slits just to the right level! Although it seems like you guys didn’t have a problem with that anyway… Sometimes I just need to do these things to be satisfied with what I do. The life of a perfectionist. The Super Slit Short 2.0 SHOP SUPER SLIT SHORT Anyway, the Super Slit Short was already my fave and now I love it even more! I’m in size S and I’m 5’5”. What do you think?! Dissecting feelings after my NYC trip

Dissecting feelings after my NYC trip Hey guys! Trip recap/brain dump for you… From attending the Asian American Foundation Awards with the CEO of YouTube and my fellow AAPI creators to watching both the Michael movie and MJ the Musical on Broadway, this month has me thinking a lot about my upbringing. I’ve been finding myself on the verge of tears more often than I’d like. A little backstory: you may or may not know, but I’m a huge MJ fan – oddly, a late stage one. I “discovered” him in high school during the 2003 Martin Bashir special that was meant to totally destroy Michael, but for some reason I saw nothing but a really talented performer. And that’s when my obsession with all things MJ began. Read all the books, bought all the CDs, and studied his performances bc I was a girl on a mission to learn the moonwalk! I ended up doing a dance to ‘Beat It’ for the talent portion of the Miss Teen Chinatown pageant and I really do think THAT is what tipped the scales in my favor! Anyway, watching Michael was beautifully nostalgic but when Joe Jackson came on the screen, the things he said reminded me so much of my dad that I was holding back tears the entire movie. Growing up my dad yelled at me when I hit a “lousy” shot during tennis practice, he yelled at me when I couldn’t solve a math problem, and he yelled at me so much that becoming a perfectionist was the only way I knew how to be. Later on in life when I finally rebelled and didn’t follow his plan for me to be a doctor, our relationship broke into pieces. The most hurtful part is that my “success” today is viewed in a similar way to how Joe Jackson viewed Michael’s success: a result of his doing. I want to be clear that I love both my mom and dad and I am grateful for the way I was raised because it made me FIGHT to become exactly who I am today. I don’t wish to change my upbringing but I do wish to have a better relationship with my dad before it’s too late.   View this post on Instagram   A post shared by Cassey Ho (@blogilates) On a slightly diff note: NYC was great! Food was great! But the trip left me with a lot of feelings to dissect. From attending multiple glamorous events to reflecting on MJ’s tragic end, I’m thinking a lot about human nature and how we treat people based on who we think they are vs who they really are.   Hey guys! V4 Of My Swim Romper Is Here

V4 Of My Swim Romper Is Here V4 of my swim romper is here and it’s the best one, hands down. The Popflex Riptide Romper My original swim romper design was inspired by the 30s to 50s because that’s when swimwear with more coverage was actually done WELL. So many of the more modern designs with more coverage are just soooo unflattering for the female body. So back to vintage swimwear we went! My version was originally a high-neck halter with a low back (and pockets duh). In the second iteration, I lowered the neckline, swapped the halter for two adjustable spaghetti straps, and added the adjustable crisscross back. The third iteration had a very small change that made a huge impact. I added soft boning to the back opening for more structure when you cinched yourself in. And now… the fourth iteration.   View this post on Instagram   A post shared by Cassey Ho (@blogilates) SHOP RIPTIDE ROMPER I heard your feedback. You’re sick and tired of the square neckline, spaghetti straps are too thin, and you want more support but still want it to look dainty. I think you’re gonna looooove the 2026 version of the Riptide Romper. I ditched the square neckline for a sweet V, added a double spaghetti strap that loops over into that crisscross on the back (adjustable! More support!), annnnnd I traded in the gold end caps on the straps for gold ocean-inspired charms! The pockets are here to stay obvi. SHOP RIPTIDE ROMPER I’m wearing size XS (one size down from my normal small bc I wanted it cheekier and I wanted a lower neckline), but it’s true to size so you do not need to do that esp if you’re looking for coverage!   V4 of my swim romper is here and it’s the best one, hands down. I saw people exchanging numbers and planning future hangouts (yay for adult friendships) and that made my heart so happy. I’m so grateful for every single one of our customers because without your support, enthusiasm, and genuine belief in the designs, I would not be able to live out my childhood dream every single day.
