The wait for Swim is finally over!!

The wait for Swim is finally over!! So, where did we leave off on this year’s POPFLEX swim drama? Right right, the part where my photo samples went MISSING in Memphis and I had to cancel our photoshoot. Models were been booked, flights purchased, photographers hired. So many meticulously planned details and moving parts just… poof! Cancelled because of one package. But the worst part was that the location we reserved would not give us a credit for the space and I had to pay thousands in fees. That’s when I filmed a video to fill you in on everything holding back this year’s swim launch. For weeks after that, the package was just stuck. I thought it was gone forever until one day… it showed up! Except… There was another problem Like HOWWWW was this happening after we already dealt with incorrect elastic on another swim bottom aka Sausagegate? WHY?! This was the point when Sam and I wondered if we should just give up on swim this year. I was EXHAUSTED. But that would mean 1.5 years of development would go to waste. The design team had already poured everything into this collection. I couldn’t just let that go. I asked you for time And your support was everything. Your willingness to wait was the final push I needed to work out the details and get it right. Over the past month, I nearly lost my mind catching issues and redoing pieces until the fit was perfect. Which brings us to today, and I finally have some good news. POPFLEX Swim is HERE! This year we have 15 silhouettes to choose from and I truly believe there is something for everyone. SHOP SWIM The swim “skanty” is alive! We brought back some faves like the Crisscross Hourglass Cheeky Bottoms and the Swim Romper, but I’m most excited for the unique styles this year. We added the most stunning drapey Tankini, a Swim Dress, AND  swim skort that I’m calling a Skanty because it has built-in bottoms. I’m wearing it with the Beach Day Bandeau which has an adjustable corset back (obsessed) and removable halter (OBSESSED)! SHOP SWIM Every single piece is giving mermaid goddess. SHOP SWIM Okay head over to POPFLEX now so you can explore all of Swim! Annnnd now can this season of POPFLEX Swim drama be over now? Finale, no cliff hangers THANKS. I hope you love bc if not I am questioning my entire existence So, where did we leave off on this year’s POPFLEX swim drama? Choosing my passion over my parents’ life plan

Choosing my passion over my parents’ life plan Growing up a child of immigrant parents who escaped a war-torn country, my mom and dad instilled in my sister and I perseverance and resilience. They taught me to work hard, study hard and do everything with excellence…which made me a great student and obedient daughter…until the thing I wanted to do excellently, was not in their life plan for me. For so many years I felt so lost, so broken and so angry. It was a decision between my passion or my parents – and I chose my passion. It broke our relationship and to this day, remains the thing I still cry about every time I think about it, talk about it, or write about it. Like literally right now. Ugh. As I get older, as my parents get older, and as the past becomes more of a scar than a fresh wound, I find myself trying to heal by trying to understand them. They wanted my sister and I to be safe. To be financially secure. To not suffer. To have stability. Things that were robbed from from them. Telling my parents I was going to pursue fashion design was none of those things. But the more they told me NO the more it lit my fire. I’m extremely grateful to my parents because had they not done what they did, I would not have fought as hard as I did to get where I am today.   View this post on Instagram   A post shared by Cassey Ho (@blogilates) I want to thank you for supporting me all of these years, whether it was by doing a Blogilates video on YouTube or by purchasing something from POPFLEX (or recently Blogilates!). Know that you have the power to change the trajectory of someone’s life, as you did mine, by the choices you make. I say this because as a consumer, our loudest “vote” comes in the form of a dollar. Corporations, at the end of the day, make decisions heavily influenced, if not totally influenced, by numbers. Now more than ever, if you have the means to support minority owned brands that make products you love, let your dollar do the speaking. Know that your collective choices are POWERFUL and that THIS is how they listen. Also WOW how has this January been 847 days long!?!? This trend but my designs evolve as I evolve

This trend but my designs evolve as I evolve TBH I NEVER THOUGHT IT WOULD HAPPEN. Not when I decided to defy my parents and apply for a job in fashion instead of applying to med school. Not when I recorded one Pilates video intended for a small group of my students and put it on YouTube. Not when I started selling motivational tanks out of my parents’ garage. I had a dream I couldn’t ignore, and I followed it! The journey along the way was messy at times, but it allowed me to evolve and allowed my designs to evolve.     View this post on Instagram   A post shared by Cassey Ho (@blogilates)   2012 My merch begins with motivational tanks. The “Train like a beast look like a beauty” design gets so popular that the exact graphic gets ripped off by a large dept store which directly impacts my small biz. I stop making tanks altogether.   2016 I decide to go after my childhood dream of becoming a fashion designer and launch POPFLEX. Everyone’s excited and it starts off pretty well at first! 2017 I drop my third collection “Dark Bloom” and it FLOPS. The fit is terrible and customers lose trust. The orders nearly come to a halt. 2018 The worst year of my life. Between the internet tearing me down for how I looked, intense toxicity on my own tiny team, and the biz falling apart, I nearly give up. Not just POPFLEX but Blogilates the channel too. I am barely hanging on but Sam tells me to try one last time. “Give it 30 more days” he says. 2019 (not pictured) I refocus my energy on who I want to be, instead of being who others tell me to be. I rediscover myself, I rebuild my confidence, and as a result, completely transform my business too. 2021 I have an emotional breakdown. I realize that after 13 years of posting fitness videos and getting body shamed every single day, I had to take a break for my own mental health. During my break, I start showing a side of myself that no one’s ever seen before. Fashion designer Cassey emerges and my content shifts from teaching home workouts to sharing the creative process behind how I design my products.   2024 From Taylor Swift wearing the Pirouette Skort to hitting 10 MILLION subscribers on YouTube in the same year (WHAT!?), I am SO LUCKY to be living this life and doing what I love Every. Single. Day. WHAT A JOURNEY. Looking back at every time I wanted to give up, every learning opportunity, every time I worked myself to exhaustion, and every single person who supported (and STILL supports me!) along the way, I’m so overwhelmed with emotions. I really never thought I’d get here, and I’m so grateful. Can’t wait to see what’s next!   SHOP POPFLEX   TBH I NEVER THOUGHT IT WOULD HAPPEN. Simone took “Train like a beast” VERY literally…

Simone took “Train like a beast” VERY literally… Soo you remember the motivational tanks of the 2000s right?! Let me refresh your memory… “Train like a BEAST look like a beauty.” Back in 2011, before POPFLEX was a thing, I sold these tanks out of my parents’ garage. Little did I know, a young future superstar bought one and took the phrase so literally that one day she would become the world’s most decorated gymnast of ALL TIME.     SIMONE BILES!! Ahhh how cool! I don’t personally know Simone and she doesn’t know me, but this weird little invisible string between us is something I’ll never forget and cherish forever. Simone, CONGRATS TO YOU ON MAKING HISTORY and congrats to our Golden Girls – I am so proud of you all! Soo you remember the motivational tanks of the 2000s right?!
