The wait for Swim is finally over!!

The wait for Swim is finally over!! So, where did we leave off on this year’s POPFLEX swim drama? Right right, the part where my photo samples went MISSING in Memphis and I had to cancel our photoshoot. Models were been booked, flights purchased, photographers hired. So many meticulously planned details and moving parts just… poof! Cancelled because of one package. But the worst part was that the location we reserved would not give us a credit for the space and I had to pay thousands in fees. That’s when I filmed a video to fill you in on everything holding back this year’s swim launch. For weeks after that, the package was just stuck. I thought it was gone forever until one day… it showed up! Except… There was another problem Like HOWWWW was this happening after we already dealt with incorrect elastic on another swim bottom aka Sausagegate? WHY?! This was the point when Sam and I wondered if we should just give up on swim this year. I was EXHAUSTED. But that would mean 1.5 years of development would go to waste. The design team had already poured everything into this collection. I couldn’t just let that go. I asked you for time And your support was everything. Your willingness to wait was the final push I needed to work out the details and get it right. Over the past month, I nearly lost my mind catching issues and redoing pieces until the fit was perfect. Which brings us to today, and I finally have some good news. POPFLEX Swim is HERE! This year we have 15 silhouettes to choose from and I truly believe there is something for everyone. SHOP SWIM The swim “skanty” is alive! We brought back some faves like the Crisscross Hourglass Cheeky Bottoms and the Swim Romper, but I’m most excited for the unique styles this year. We added the most stunning drapey Tankini, a Swim Dress, AND swim skort that I’m calling a Skanty because it has built-in bottoms. I’m wearing it with the Beach Day Bandeau which has an adjustable corset back (obsessed) and removable halter (OBSESSED)! SHOP SWIM Every single piece is giving mermaid goddess. You can wear it long or cinch the adjustable bungees on the sides for a cropped look! The structured neck is so regal and gives a higher end, elegant look to an otherwise very casual, sporty piece! But the key to how good it looks is… THE SHAPE. It’s an inverted triangle that tapers you in at the waist. NO FRUMP HERE. Some other things that make the half zip hoodie one of my faves: Cloud fabric Drop shoulder Blousy sleeves A HUGE double-lined hood A zippered pocket (no dropped phones!) I tried to make the perfect legging… I can’t believe this legging has been going for nearly 4 years, and every year, as trends change, the bottom hem changes. We’ve added colors and inseams and as of now, you have 1,075 different options to choose from. FOR REAL. But as we add and evolve this legging, you know what stays? It all started with Teardrops on my Guitar when I was in college…Speak Now was my soundtrack through the icy winters of Boston as I cried my way to work every morning…Red got me through heartbreak and healed me over the course of several months…1989 was when I got to meet Taylor in person at a Secret Session…Reputation came at a time when some of the closest people in my life turned against me. This whole time I’ve been watching Taylor Swift evolve as an artist, a businesswoman, and a brand – her force is magnetic, POWERFUL, and empowering. No matter what people say, she keeps doing her thing HER WAY. Sure, attracting haters, but also creating many more lovers along the way and most importantly, always staying true to her changing self. “Inspirational” doesn’t quite encompass how I feel about her. It’s something deeper and I don’t have the word for it. The poll results Here are the outfits you voted for on my IG! Which one do you think I went with?! Try-on details Some of these are sold out, but here are the details on a few things! I bought the silver boots in 2022 before there were a bunch of copies on Amazon. Mine weren’t cheap but the quality is good! They run true to size. The rainbow tassle dress is from ASOS but sold out . The black tassle romper is from Amazon and I love it! The lavender rhinestone crop top and mini skirt have NO STRETCH but I still love them. The halter dress was from ASOS and had a terrible fit. 0/10 recommend. Anyway, let me know your fave outfit! Meet Your New Go-To Adventure Skort!! Hey guys! I have never put so many pockets on a skort AND I DO NOT REGRET IT ONE BIT! If you haven’t jumped on the cargo skort trend yet…get ready to fall in love. So many things to say about this new Hiking Superskort design that I started working on last fall: It’s my first non-twirl POPFLEX skort design and I am LOVING the structure! The asymmetrical slit took forever to get right but we’re here now and it’s exactly what I wanted! Cargo is in and these pockets are BIG. Yes that is a Trader Joe’s banana chip bag in one pocket (see below). Yes, that is a peanut butter jar, spoon, and protein bar in my other pocket. These are PROVISIONS POCKETS! This design isn’t for everyone… Hey guys! This really isn’t for everyone. But I’m not trying to design one thing for everyone. I’m trying to design different options for different bodies and different preferences. Leggings with a skirt To be completely honest, I had a really challenging time with the design. But I know how important it is to have modest activewear options for you! The challenge was worth it. It actually took 11 months and 19 days from the time I sketched this to be able to arrive at today’s release. Look, EVEN I thought all I had to do was plop my twirl skort pattern on top of my legging pattern and be done. But no. When I did that, it was looking dowdy and just so UN-POPFLEX. It took time to adjust the skirt ever so slightly to make it still twirl but not overwhelm. Shortening the waistband height, removing some extra fabric, and adding a higher curve to the sides is what helped create the right effect in the final product! As someone who personally does not dress modestly, I actually liked being pushed to create something that could not rely too heavily on showing skin to be cute. It challenged me creatively, and that, I’m always up for because it forces me to expand my mind. I’m wearing the POPFLEX Sklegging in size small. This is a 27” inseam and I’m 5’5”. Since it’s an experimental design, I didn’t create different inseams just yet. I need to assess what you guys think about leggings with a skirt before I head in any deeper. Anyway, I hope you love!
