REVIEW: The Wellness Box by Bellabox

REVIEW: The Wellness Box by Bellabox I was recently gifted a beauty subscription box from Bellabox. I am delighted because I have always wanted to try one of these services. In this blog post I share my honest thoughts and experience with a review of the Wellness box. What is Bellabox? Bellabox is one of Australia’s first beauty subscription box services started by a group of young women who loved buying beauty products and looking good, but were sick of the hassle of going to department stores every time they wanted to try new beauty products.   They were sick of paying for expensive beauty products that did not live up to their standards and always feeling like they were six months behind the latest trends. From their frustrations, these gals made it their mission to find a better way and this is when Bellabox was born.  Put simply, Bellabox is a subscription service where you get to experience the latest beauty samples tailored to your beauty profile, providing you the perfect opportunity to ‘try before you buy’ in a cost-effective and easy way!    How it works Simply choose from one of the monthly to yearly beauty sampling memberships to try the latest and greatest in beauty products from as little as $19.95 per month. Set up your beauty profile to receive products that are specific to your individual tastes and requirements.  You can choose from a variety of boxes including the Bellabox for women, Bellobox for men, and the Bellababy box for expecting mums.  There are also wellness boxes, gift boxes and a range of limited edition boxes including a ‘date night’ box, Vogue Edition, or GQ Edition. There is literally something for everyone.   I chose the Wellness Box which is full of all my favourites, more on this below.  Once you chose your subscription you will receive a beauty box right on your step to discover and enjoy.  The best part is, if you love the beauty samples in your Bellabox you can simply visit the Bellabox shop to purchase the product in full. It really is a convenient and risk- free way to sample and buy beauty products.  My thoughts First things first, the box arrived in beautiful and thoughtful packaging which really added to the excitement of discovering what was inside.  You can check out my unboxing video here and see for yourself.  With over $200 of value for only $59.95, I was curious to know what goodies were inside and whether they were actually good.  I liked the fact many of the products in the box could easily slot into my daily beauty routine.   From the Kohl charcoal toothpaste and tooth brush, to the reusable travel cup for my almond chai lattes, Pure Natural Collagen Booster for my morning smoothie, the Tsuno natural bamboo pads for my monthlys, the Blue Dinasaur Super Bite to snack on post work out and one of my favourite drinks to enjoy, coconut kefir. There is nothing worse than being sent a bunch of items that you won’t use, so all ticks so far! The most exciting new discoveries in my wellness box were the Jurlique Sweet Violet and Grapefruit Hydrating Mist, the Mary Grace Essential Face Elixir and the Scentered Sleep Well Therapy Balm which I couldn’t wait to try. I was not too sure about the chinese imported eye steamers, Pure Vitamin E oil or masseur gel cushions for my feet but I am sure I will give them a go when the need pops up.  If you are like me when it comes to spending a lot of money on beauty products, I like to stick with brands that I know and trust simply because it reduces the risk of being disappointed or wasting my money on something that has not lived up to my expectations.  I love that the Bellabox has given me the opportunity to explore brands that I am not familiar with, or have not heard of before.   Not only this, it’s the most epic way to treat yourself every now and then, after all we deserve it right? You deserve it. You the super woman, the super mum, the super EVERYTHING! When do we ever take the time to treat ourselves like this? Not often! And it’s a very cheap way to treat yourself mind you. From as little as $19.95 a month, that seriously beats any in salon beauty treatment or palming off the kids to nanna or hubby while you race off and visit the shops I say! And it’s delivered right to your doorstep. How convenient is that? From a conscious consumer perspective, I am thrilled that most of the brands in my wellness box are clean and green with the exception of one or two. I also like that it’s a thoughtful way to try and consume new products without being too wasteful. Sampling beauty products in a beauty box is definitely better than filling up your draw full of expensive products you have bought but never used! It’s so nice thinking about the prospect of not having all that waste. All in all, I am delighted with what I received in my Wellness Bellabox and I would certainly recommend Bellabox if you love discovering and trying new products.  I think these boxes make the perfect gift too and I will definitely be spoiling someone with a box one day soon.  Until next time, I was recently gifted a beauty subscription box from Bellabox. We’re breaking down this trend so you can have the deets on social media’s juiciest summer looks.  @xobexstudio Replying to @N #fashiontok #tomatogirl #summeraesthetic #moodboard #hiddengems ♬ Somethin’ Stupid – Frank Sinatra & Nancy Sinatra   It Started With A Song Like most things on the musical platform, this TikTok trend has song-inspired origins. A take on Meg Thee Stallion’s “Hot Girl Summer,” Tomato Girl Summer combines the concept of reclaiming the season with a new fashion niche.  While TikTok is known for cultivating distinctive, hyperspecific fashion trends, this may be the app’s most unique trend.  Inspired by Mediterranean landscapes, it gives your summer outfits a breezy, homegrown edge. This newly-named style brings European glamor to the everyday woman. (Even if you aren’t vacationing on the Amalfi Coast this summer, you can still dress like it!). We love a good wardrobe refresh, and this style goes above and beyond. It’s a way to use unique patterns, color combos, and silhouettes to achieve that Italian leisure look. And we aren’t the only fans of this look; #TomatoGirlAesthetic on TikTok has over 117 million views. After taking social media by storm, the Tomato Girl aesthetic has been recognized by major fashion magazines and is even influencing runway looks. If you personally aren’t a fan of tomatoes, no worries! The trend has spawned conversations for other plant-inspired looks like the Lemon Girl and the Watermelon Girl. (As we move further into summer, we have to wonder how this trend will evolve when autumn rolls around… dare we say, Acorn Girl Fall? ).    @vicmontanari I was leaving a #tomatogirl summer and didn’t even know #tomatogirl #tomatogirls ♬ Ma quale idea – Pino D’Angiò   It’s Not Just About Tomatoes We know it’s in the name, but the trend is about so much more. The Tomato Girl style is about dressing in a bright, colorful palette that reflects the season’s beautiful blooms. From fresh produce to blossoming flowers and sparkling sunshine, this trend borrows everything we love about summer. The Tomato Girl look is playful, stylish, and carefree. It allows you to embody “golden hour” all day long.  If you picture someone walking down the cobblestone streets of a European village in the summertime, think of what they’d be wearing. That’s the Tomato Girl aesthetic! Okay, okay… If you’re still struggling to picture it, we don’t blame you. Here are some key items to achieve the look if you’re invested in becoming a Tomato Girl. Warm tones like red, orange, yellow, and gold! (it is centered on tomatoes, after all) Breezy linen sundresses and pants Clothes with fun summer patterns like gingham or even fruits and veggies Bright summer button downs Silky hair scarves Elegant sandals Vibrant colors (if you’d see it in your neighbor’s garden, it’s perfect!) Crochet and macrame accessories Natural beach waves and your favorite claw clip A bronzy, golden makeup routine for a glowy look   If you want more inspiration to build your own Tomato Girl-inspired look, check out our Tomato Girl Summer Pinterest board!  This Trend Has Layers Like so many fashion trends, the Tomato Girl aesthetic goes beyond what we’re wearing. It promotes a slower pace of life that stops us from rushing from one thing to the next. It doesn’t just conjure dreamy scenes of sipping an ice-cold drink and lounging with a good book or perusing your local farmer’s market for fresh finds. It encourages you to live out this European fantasy, no matter where you are.  Being a Tomato Girl means seeking out adventure and taking it slow in order to appreciate all of the amazing things that can happen when you become present in the moment.  JavaScript is currently disabled in this browser.
