Blogilates.com earns a small commission from these links, at no additional cost to you. Holiday party season has arrived and we are IN IT. If you’re hosting anytime soon, a beverage that your guests will rave over is a must. No worries if alcohol isn’t your thing – holiday mocktails are just as beautiful and fun to sip on! And if you are serving “adult” beverages, it never hurts to offer a non-alcoholic beverage option for anyone exploring sober curiosity or not drinking alcohol for any reason. These mocktails are stunning and tasty, without being over the top – looking at you, TikTok viral cocktail in an ornament. If you love that vibe but wonder if people really have time to host and create a drink so extra, they DO, but you don’t have to! Serve these non-alcoholic drinks at your holiday party.   Promise the WOW-factor will still be there (and you won’t be washing or wasting ornaments). Pomegranate Ginger Paloma A traditional Paloma is made with tequila, grapefruit juice, lime, and sparkling water. This non-alcoholic holiday drink uses non-alcoholic tequila (I used Ritual Zero Proof), and adds an element of cheer with pomegranate juice and ginger beer in place of the sparkling water. This bevvie is not only stunning, but I love the subtle spice that the ginger beer brings. It balances out the sweetness and literally adds a sparkle to your drink. Print Pomegranate Ginger Paloma A holiday-inspired, non-alcoholic version of a paloma Course Drinks Keyword mocktail, non-alcoholic, non-alcoholic beverage, drink, holiday drink, paloma, ginger, holiday recipe Prep Time 5 minutes minutes Servings 2 Ingredients 6 oz pomegranate juice 4 oz grapefruit juice Juice from 1/2 lime 4 oz non-alcoholic tequila I used Ritual Zero Proof Ginger beer to taste Instructions Run a lime wedge around your glasses and coat in sugar (or salt if you prefer). Add ice cubes and set aside. Combine drink ingredients in a shaker (or jar) and shake to combine. Strain mixture into glasses. Garnish with pomegranate seeds and fresh rosemary and serve. Notes If you want to try this as a cocktail, just swap the NA tequila for your favorite brand of alcoholic tequila. Peppermint Espresso Martini The espresso martini has become one of my favorite drinks, but I have to admit that until now, I’d never tried a non-alcoholic version. Typically this martini uses vodka, but I decided to replace it with Ritual Zero-Proof’s Gin Alternative. Then I added a little Torani peppermint syrup and a splash of heavy cream – this is optional, and you can totally use a dairy-free alternative. When I tested this recipe, I learned that shaking the mixture is key to getting that luscious layer of foam at the top. Just brew your espresso over ice in a heat-safe mason jar so it’s already chilled, add your other ingredients, and shake away. Print Peppermint Espresso Martini A non-alcoholic and wintry spin on a classic espresso martini Course Drinks Keyword mocktail, non-alcoholic beverage, holiday drink, espresso, martini, holiday party Prep Time 5 minutes minutes Servings 1 Ingredients 2 Shots espresso 2 oz non-alcoholic gin I used Ritual Zero-Proof 1 oz peppermint syrup 1 Tbsp heavy cream (optional) Coffee beans and crushed peppermint For garnish Instructions Brew espresso shots over ice. Add non-alcoholic gin, peppermint syrup, and heavy cream (or other alternative, if using) to espresso Pour mixture into a shaker (or brew right into a mason jar like me!). Cover with a lid and shake to combine, for about 10 seconds. Pour mixture into a martini glass and allow the foam to settle at the top. Garnish with a few coffee beans and crushed peppermint. Notes You can absolutely make this a cocktail by swapping the NA gin for regular gin or vodka. Winter Spiced Hot Toddy This one is warm and soothing – perfect for serving after a day spent in the snow, or around a fire. I also love sipping on this non-alcoholic drink for a…um…different kind of holiday – a sick day, spent battling a scratchy throat. A hot toddy is the perfect way to find some relief. To remove the alcohol without sacrificing the flavor depth, I used Monday Zero Alcohol Whiskey. It’s hard to explain, but this whiskey alternative is the key to adding that layer of warmth that alcohol usually brings. You’ll believe me when you try it! Oh and please don’t be intimidated by the spiced simple syrup! It’s really easy to throw together and simmer on your stove. Bonus – it will make your house smell amazing. Print Winter Spiced Hot Toddy A warm, soothing alcohol-free hot toddy made with zero alcohol whiskey and a mouth watering spiced simple syrup. Course Drinks Keyword mocktail, non-alcoholic, non-alcoholic beverage, holiday drink, holiday recipe, holiday party, hot toddy, winter spiced, cinnamon, warm beverage Prep Time 5 minutes minutes Cook Time 10 minutes minutes Total Time 15 minutes minutes Servings 1 Ingredients Spiced Simple Syrup 1/2 cup water 1/2 cup brown sugar 1 stick cinnamon or 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon 1/8 tsp allspice or more to taste Hot Toddy 2 oz Zero Alcohol Whiskey I used Monday Juice from 1/2 lemon 1 cup hot water or enough to fill remainder of glass Instructions Spiced Simple Syrup To make the spiced simple syrup: In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine water, brown sugar, cinnamon and allspice. Simmer for around 10 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside. Hot Toddy To a mug, add 1 oz spiced simple syrup, Zero Alcohol Whiskey, and lemon juice. Fill the remainder of mug with hot water. Garnish with a lemon slice and cinnamon stick! Notes Make this a cocktail by swapping the NA whiskey for your favorite regular whiskey. Apple Kentucky Mule Mules are one of the most refreshing drinks out there. I’ve never tolerated vodka well though – even the thought

Holiday Must-Haves From Trader Joe’s!

Holiday Must-Haves From Trader Joe’s! It feels like everyone is getting into the Christmas spirit early this year. Trader Joe’s is always a little ahead of the holiday game, and you really have to snag the products you’re interested in early if you don’t want to miss out. So when I casually strolled into TJ’s last weekend to find Christmas music playing and some of my holiday favorites on shelves, I knew I couldn’t pass them up. Since my visit, even more seasonal favs and brand new items have hit shelves. Although I haven’t put my tree up or even started Christmas shopping, I’m feeling TJ’s FOMO. Will I make another trip this weekend and officially stock up on holiday goodies? We shall see. Here are the Trader Joe’s holiday items I’m most excited for this year! Bring these to the holiday party Whether you’re hosting or a guest, these Trader Joe’s holiday items are easy wins. Frozen Mashed Sweet Potatoes – Who has time to peel and boil potatoes? Not us. I love these because they are JUST mashed sweet potatoes, frozen in blocks so you can heat the exact portion you need and add whatever seasonings and extras you want. There’s a regular mashed potato version too! I keep these in my freezer all winter. Chili Cranberry Orange & Onion Crunch – I looooove Chili Onion Crunch. The sweet addition of cranberry and orange sounds interesting and I’m thinking it would be really yummy on a holiday charcuterie board! Wine – TJ’s has a huge selection of tasty (and often inexpensive) wines. If you’re looking for a non-alcoholic option, try the Sparkling Tea Rosé. Unexpected Cheddar Cheese Spread Holiday Cheer – The holiday version of this fan fav contains cranberries, Riesling wine, and cinnamon. Another perfect add to your snack board. Lemony Arugula Salad Mix – Holiday side dishes are delish, but heavy. This salad mix is a favorite all year long and will balance perfectly with the rest of the spread. Brined Half Turkey Breast – Zero effort and the perfect size for hosting a small group. Broccoli & Cauliflower Gratin – A rich and decadent veggie side that won’t dirty and dishes! Win. Cornbread stuffing – It’s not the holidays without stuffing, right?!     Snack on these to get into the holiday spirit Nuts About Rosemary Mix – Just a solid, yummy savory snack mix. Crossing my fingers the spicy version returns this year too. Mini Dark Chocolate Mini Stars – One of the first holiday items I spotted this year. At first I thought, “It’s too early.” And then I grabbed a box because I love them and if you wait, there’s a good chance you’ll miss out. Candy Cane Chocolate Covered Almonds – Dark chocolate + white chocolate + peppermint + almonds. OF COURSE these are amazing. Jingle Jangle Everything – I haven’t seen the actual tins of Jingle Jangle out YET, but it’s coming. The pretzels are super fun, and would look amazing on a dessert board. Candy Cane Joe-Joes – These are such a TJ’s holiday staple that every year they have new variations of the sweet, minty cookie, like ice cream. Thanksgiving Stuffing Seasoned Popcorn – I passed this up and then I saw Kelsey from Trader Joe’s Food Reviews give it a 9/10 so YES I will be returning and buying if they’re still in stock. Thanksgiving Stuffing Seasoned Kettle Chips – If stuffing always smells good but the texture isn’t your fav, these are for you. The seasoning is everything. Pro tip: put these chips ON your turkey sandwich. Stollen Crisps – Sweet and delicious on their own, and the perfect addition to a holiday charcuterie board.   Get gifting! Olive wood – This is one of my favorite seasonal TJs products! The selection changes a little every year, but whether you gift a bowl, spatula, or cutting board, you can’t go wrong! 12 Days of Scented Candles – Advent calendars are for adults too! And it’s no secret that TJ’s candles are great gifts. Wrap this for a friend or gift it for yourself and enjoy looking forward to discovering a new scented mini candle each day! 12 Days of Beauty – Who doesn’t love a beauty advent calendar? I fell in love with so many products from last year’s calendar, like a shower steamer, hand cream, and sunscreen. Plants and flowers – This gift never fails. Trader Joe’s has endless bouquet options and plenty of unique and beautiful plants. The new Nordic Reindeer Tillandsia is beautiful! Brazil Nut Trio – A summer favorite, now in the form of a gift set! The scent is known as a dupe for Sol de Janeiro. The body cream is luscious and the body mist and body oil are new to the lineup. Pound Plus Bar – Gift your fav chocolate lover with a pound of chocolate – Literally. The seasonal version of this gigantic bar is made with milk chocolate and is filled with caramel, sea salt, and pretzel bits. Advent calendars – A fun option for kids and pets (yes, they have advent calendars for dogs and cats ). Cinnamon Swizzle Sticks – These are so fun! Gift them with a DIY hot chocolate set or your bestie’s favorite coffee or tea. Felted Wool Trivets – These cozy wool trivets usually come in holiday-themed colors but this year, you can snag a few in neutral colors to gift!   What’s your favorite Trader Joe’s holiday item? What are you most excited to see return? Let me know in the comments so I can add it to my shopping list too .   It feels like everyone is getting into the Christmas spirit early this year.
